Abigail Walker Receives MISD Staff Spotlight Award

Scott Johnson Middle School drama teacher Abigail Walker is this quarter’s recipient of the Trinity Falls MISD Staff Spotlight award.

The quarterly promotion honors deserving teachers or staff members at the three schools serving the McKinney-area community: Press Elementary, Scott Morgan Johnson Middle School and McKinney North High. Winners are chosen based on nominations by Trinity Falls residents.

Resident Jamie Meister nominated Ms. Walker.

“She really inspires kids to come out of their shell and learn collaborative skills. My son loves his theater class and teacher,” Meister said.

Last year under Ms. Walker’s tutelage, theater kids performed Suessical Jr. and the Thriller dance at the McKinney North haunted house.

Ms. Walker received $500 to be used for her department at a check presentation attended by many of her drama students.
