Trinity Falls Welcomes New Teachers to McKinney ISD

Close to 300 new teachers will be setting up classrooms at McKinney ISD schools this fall, and Trinity Falls was on hand to welcome them all. Teachers enjoyed visiting with local businesses, a balloon photo op, a teacher pep rally and a motivational speech by Libby Spears with Bravo Communications and Consulting.

The annual McKinney Chamber of Commerce’s Business and Education New Teacher Welcome Breakfast is an opportunity for local business owners to recognize and celebrate the positive impact teachers have on the community due to their dedication to our children.

The event was attended by McKinney ISD Superintendent Rick McDaniel, chamber administrators, school board members, community leaders and our own General Manager Bob Ditthardt and C’ Ella Clayton, Director of Marketing.

With Trinity Falls the Presenting Sponsor for the event, Bob and C’Ella extended congratulations and their quarterly Teacher Spotlight Award. The award normally recognizes resident-nominated teachers or staff members at the three schools serving the Trinity Falls community: Press Elementary, Scott Morgan Johnson Middle School and McKinney North High School. This time, they helped two new teachers start the year off right by raffling off two of the awards.

Jasmine Haynes of Cockrill Middle School and Aaron Mullinax of McKinney North High School were the winners and will each receive $500 to use toward their department or classroom.

Businesses also came together to spoil the teachers with sponsored goodie bags filled with items to shop local and kick off the new school year right.

We wish all the teachers, administrators and staff a successful school year!
